A promising young British golfer has earned a crucial sponsorship deal with AMA Waste

Adam Lewarne, who works as a golf professional at Middleton Hall Golf Club, has teamed up with King's Lynn-based AMA Waste to help propel him towards full PGA status.

The 23-year-old, who finished fifth in this year's 36-hole Norfolk PGA Championship, is in the third and final year of his full PGA training.

Having undertaken his first Gecko Tour event in Spain last year - often a breeding ground for future stars - Lewarne has been playing at the Middleton club since the age of 10.

"I'm delighted to be associated with AMA Waste and very grateful for the support that is vital to me achieving my ambitions of full PGA qualification in the next 12 months," he said.

"I'm enthusiastic for the season ahead and can't wait to repay the faith AMA have shown in me."

Ben Lukey, managing director at AMA Waste, said: "Adam is a very promising young golfer and has a good future ahead of him. We're excited about teaming up with him and can't wait to follow his progress as he takes the next rung up the golfing ladder."
